The on-line Area publication is delivered under the following headings:
There are 16 Sectors in this Area, plus 3 used from other Areas. At present 11 + 3 Sectors are available on-line. These cover Materials extraction and manufacture, and the manufacture of Consumer Goods. For each Sector the results of the analysis is given of the long running trends, leading to Scenarios for the Sector which contains impacts from all other Sectors of the Business Trends Library.
Considers impact of trends from other Areas of the Library to give the major trends operating relevant to businesses in this Area. Includes rise of Service Sectors, Manufacturing and New World Trading Patterns, features of the advanced countries and their relation to the rest of the world. Manufacturing Scenarios are brought together to give a picture of Automation, Materials (Mining, Metals, Chemicals, Plastics, and substitution processes), Consumer Manufacture. Components & Machinery (who's Sectors are not yet available on-line) are also summarised.
